Bob Hammer of CommVault® Named Data Services and Software Winner of Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2005 New Jersey Award
The Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program was created and is produced by Ernst & Young LLP. As the first award of its kind, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic and growing businesses. The program honors entrepreneurs through regional, national and international award programs in over 100 cities and 35 countries.
When Hammer arrived at CommVault in 1998, the company needed to define a new vision and product roadmap in order to successfully compete with well-entrenched rivals. Hammer and his team created a new vision, which included three strategic initiatives: to provide the best product value proposition; to offer best-in-class support and to build a world-class distribution network - all of which provided the foundation for CommVault's transition into a leading data management and data protection software provider. Consistent execution of this strategy and vision shaped the delivery of the CommVault® QiNetix™ software suite as it expanded to solve customers' evolving data management needs. Today, CommVault is a leading provider of Unified Data Management software and related services.
"I am honored to receive this distinguished award on behalf of the CommVault team," said Bob Hammer, chairman and CEO, CommVault. "This is a testament to the combined efforts of our worldwide team that worked hard delivering on the vision and strategy that transformed CommVault into what it is today - a team that remains dedicated and enthusiastic about carrying this strong momentum into the future."
"For nearly two decades, Ernst & Young has been recognizing outstanding entrepreneurs throughout the U.S. for their remarkable leadership and successful accomplishments," said Keith L. Brownlie, Partner and Co-Director for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year program in New Jersey. "We are pleased to honor Bob as one of New Jersey's outstanding entrepreneurs."
Bob Hammer is eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2005 national program. Winners in several national categories as well as the overall National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif., in November 2005.
