Seattle, WA — April 25, 2005 — CommVault®, a leading provider of Unified Data Management™ solutions, today demonstrated and announced it has integrated CommVault QiNetix™ software with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. With this support, QiNetix benefits from the speed and performance capabilities of this new version of Windows to deliver fast and reliable data access to customers. This interoperability is the latest advancement that bolsters CommVault's industry-leading position in managing and protecting the heterogeneous enterprise using key Microsoft Windows-based components. This capability is being demonstrated at the Microsoft Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC) in Seattle April 25-27, 2005.

The CommVault QiNetix Windows-Centric Unified Data Management suite has been designed and integrated to fully leverage the new x64 versions of Windows. CommVault's Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition significantly enhances the performance of enterprise data management components, including the writing of data to various media devices connected to x64 servers.

The QiNetix product suite, which runs on both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Windows, unifies backup and recovery, point-in-time replication, HSM, archiving for compliance, SRM and service level management. CommVault customers can add 64-bit servers as needed because QiNetix can seamlessly mix and match both chipsets in a single enterprise. "We're delighted to have CommVault's early support for Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition," said Brian Marr, senior product manager at Microsoft Corp. "By supporting our x64 client and server operating systems, CommVault QiNetix continues to be a reliable solution for our customers' data management needs, allowing them to leverage the full power of 64-bit technology."

"Supporting x64 further justifies our strategic decision to use Windows as an enterprise data management foundation," said Randy De Meno, director of advanced applications and Microsoft partnership at CommVault. "With this support, our QiNetix customers can more rapidly support their heterogeneous environments knowing they can leverage the performance benefits of x64 and continue to reduce costs with the overall simplicity of QiNetix."
