Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.

     On January 30, 2008, the Board of Directors of CommVault Systems, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed Alan G. Bunte as a director, effective as of January 30, 2008. Mr. Bunte has served as the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since October 2003 and served as the Company’s senior vice president from December 1999 until October 2003. Additional information regarding Mr. Bunte was included in the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 25, 2007. A detailed description of the terms of the Employment Agreement and Change of Control Agreement with Mr. Bunte was included in the Company’s Definitive Proxy Statement on Schedule 14A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 23, 2007.
