CommVault Ranks #8 on Baseline's Top Ten Software Up-and-Comers List

OCEANPORT, N.J., Jul 30, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

CommVault(R) (NASDAQ:CVLT), has been named to Ziff Davis Media's Baseline magazine "Top Ten Software Up-and-Comers," a ranking of the fastest-growing publicly-traded small U.S. software businesses.

According to the publication, CommVault ranked eighth with 38 percent year-on-year sales growth for fiscal year 2007. As the only company on the list focused exclusively on data management, Baseline magazine credits the adoption of more products and services by an expanding customer base with CommVault's growth.

"CommVault's success is being driven by customers who are eager to implement a Singular approach to Data Protection, Archive, Replication, Resource Management and Search in order to gain operational efficiencies, reduce costs and streamline data management," said David West, CommVault's vice president of marketing and business development. "Baseline's ranking helps validate CommVault's growth and market potential and we are honored to be included among the magazine's list of U.S. software providers as one of the fastest growing companies."

In order to identify its Top Ten Software Up-and-Comers list of companies, Baseline compiled a list of vendors that produce pre-packaged software and had less than $150 million in sales in their last but one fiscal year. Calculations of percentage revenue growth were based on a comparison of each company's revenue in its most recently reported full fiscal year, versus the previous year.

Baseline magazine is a practical guide to costing and managing the deployment of leading-edge information technology. The full article, "Software's Top 10 Up-and-Comers," ranking and accompanying slide show are available online at http://www.baselinemag.com/article2/0,1540,2156052,00.asp.
